This Privacy Policy explains what information Scholten’s Equipment, Inc. (“Scholten’s”, “we”, “us”) collects through scholtenparts.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Order and account information: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, the items you order, and your order history. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.
- Requests you send us: what you type into our contact, quote and price request forms, including the equipment model and part numbers you ask about.
- Equipment you save: models you add to “My Garage” so we can show you the right parts.
- Site usage: technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, the pages you visit and the searches you run, collected through server logs and cookies (see our Cookie Notice).
How we use it
- To process and ship your orders, take payment, and send order confirmations, shipping updates and receipts.
- To answer your questions and quote and source parts for you.
- To run and improve the Site, keep it secure, and fix problems.
- To send parts tips, promotions and updates if you subscribe to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the store, and only as needed for that purpose:
- our payment provider, to process your payment;
- shipping carriers (such as UPS and USPS), to deliver your order;
- our website hosting, email delivery and site search providers;
- equipment manufacturers, when needed to order a special part or handle a warranty claim;
- authorities, when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for warranty, accounting and tax purposes. Account information is kept while your account is active. Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
Your choices
- You can view and update your account details and addresses by signing in to your account.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it.
